Overview

Geomorpho Studios builds apps that help with everyday tasks such as meal planning, shopping lists, recipes, and home organization. Our goal is to collect as little personal information as practical.

Many app features are designed to work locally on your device. When data is stored locally, it stays on your device unless you choose to use a feature that sends or syncs information outside the device.

Information our apps collect

By default, our apps are designed not to require an account. App content such as meal plans, recipes, saved items, and shopping lists may be stored on your device so the app can function.

If an app includes optional sync, sharing, backup, advertising, analytics, or support features, those features may involve additional data as described below.

Syncing and sharing

Some Geomorpho apps may offer optional sync or sharing features. If you choose to enable these features, the information needed to provide syncing or sharing may be stored using a cloud service such as Google Firebase.

For example, this may include shopping list items, list identifiers, sync status, and a display name or nickname you choose. This information is used to sync the list and share it with people you invite.

For authentication, our approach is to avoid asking for more information than needed. Unlike many apps, our current sync design does not require you to provide an email address or create an email-based account. If authentication is needed, it can be handled with a limited app identifier and a nickname or display name you choose.

You can avoid cloud syncing by not enabling sync or sharing features. In apps that support it, you may also disable sync to keep your information local.

Grocery and delivery services

Some Geomorpho apps may let you export or order from a shopping list. If you choose to use this feature, the item names from your list are sent to a third-party grocery or delivery service so it can build your order. Only the item names needed to create the order are shared, and only when you start the export.

We do not sell this information or share it with these services for any other purpose. Each service processes the information it receives according to its own privacy policy.

Some apps may include retailer or affiliate links. If you make a purchase through those links, Geomorpho Studios may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Advertising and third-party services

Free versions of our apps may show ads. Ads may be provided by third-party services such as Google AdMob. These services may collect or process information such as device identifiers, app activity, diagnostics, and advertising-related information according to their own privacy policies and settings.

Some apps or website features may also use third-party services for hosting, analytics, crash reporting, cloud storage, or app functionality. These services process data only as needed to provide those features.

Website information

When you visit geomorpho.com, the website may collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and basic server logs. This information is used for security, troubleshooting, performance, and understanding how the website is used.

If you contact us through the website or by email, we may receive your name, email address, and message so we can respond.

The website may use cookies or similar technologies for normal website operation, security, analytics, and embedded content. Embedded content from other websites, such as videos or images, may behave as if you visited that other website directly.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not require an account for basic app use unless a specific future feature clearly requires one.
• We do not use your local meal plans or shopping lists for advertising unless you choose to use a feature or third-party service that clearly involves data processing.

Data control

You can keep app data local by not enabling optional sync or sharing features. You can also remove app data by using in-app controls where available, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app.

For cloud-synced data, contact us if you need help requesting deletion of information associated with a sync feature.

Data retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Cloud-synced data may be retained while sync or sharing features are active, or as needed for security, backup, legal, or operational reasons.

Messages you send to us may be retained as long as needed to respond, provide support, and maintain business records.

Your rights (US & Canada)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, including under California’s Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). As noted above, we do not sell your personal information.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information processed by our apps and website. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we try to limit collection and use trusted services where cloud features are needed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our apps, website, or services change. The updated date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last revised.
